The Route Des Grand Alpes is a stunning route of mountain passes in the French Alps. If heading south, you pick up the route at Thonon Les Bains on the shore of Lake Geneva, with the route ending at Menton on the Mediterranean coast. It took 4 days of riding to do it, with stopovers at Villaroger (near Val D’Isere), Briancon and Barcellonette. Vertigo inducing at times, with sensational views and roads. Magical to ride and satisfying to complete.
