Another London visit, this time to see Steve Gadd (legendary jazz drummer) perform with his band at Ronnie Scotts. This time, I was with an old friend Mark Hewitt, who grew up in the same Wiltshire village as me (Corsley).
The biking route was via Alton (to Bahnstormer) to sort out a worrying problem with the petrol cap refusing to open, then onto London via Guildford, into Battersea, over Westminster Bridge, along the Thames, onto the Strand and up Drury Lane.
Home route via the Strand, the Mall, through Belgravia and up to Marble Arch. Then the usual route (M3) to the A303 followed by a detour onto the A30 at Bullingdon Cross/A34 to Stockbridge, then taking the Andover road past the Mayfly pub. Back on the A303 to Countess then via Larkhill to Shrewton and Tilshead.
