26th May – 1st June

An overnighter in London, getting in a Ronnie Scott’s visit to see Nicola Conte and his band (enjoyed it).

On the evening of the 27th, we would head to Euston station to board the “Caledonian” sleeper train to Fort William in Scotland (great journey, fantastic to wake up to the scenery of the western highlands). From Fort William, we picked up a hire car to head over to Mull, staying in Tobermory at the excellent Lorne Cottage on the hill overlooking the town and bay.

Fabulous weather on Mull, as we travelled around the island. We had pre-booked a visit to see the White Tailed Eagle nest which was good (we saw them – at a distance).

The return leg was a drive back onto the mainland to Fort William, then through the Great Glen, past Loch Ness to Inverness to board the sleeper train back to London.

A great few days, and a chance for some photography.
