A visit to the Parsonage Down National Nature Reserve with the Wiltshire Ornithological Society. Sightings included Red Kite, Kestrel, Buzzard, Stonechat and Linnet, with abundant Corn Buntings and Yellowhammers. It was a mostly cool and overcast day, but on the rare occasions when the sun peaked through, lots of butterflies took to the wing; mostly Common Blue and Small Heath, plus the odd Painted Lady and Meadow Brown. We also spotted a Small Elephant Hawkmoth resting in the grass.
