An excellent motorcycling weekend Wales. The biking in earnest started in the Wye Valley, staying in Tintern on the Friday night. Saturday took in Monmouth, the back road to Abergavenny followed by the back road to Brecon in rain and showers. After that, the weather improved for the stint to Llandovery.
After that, some brilliant mountain roads taking in Cilycwm and Ystradfin eventually appearing back onto a main road at Tregaron. From there, great flowing roads all the way to Devil’s Bridge passing Cors Goch Llanllwch National Nature Reserve, overnight at the Hafod Arms Hotel.
Sunday riding took in another set of mountain roads past Nant-Y-Moch Reservoir to Tal-Y-Bont. Then, a stint on the main road to Machynlleth and onto another mountain road route to Llanidloes. Then Newtown, Montgomery and a stop-off in Church Stoke to see my old buddy Carl.
Homeward bound took me via Bishop’s Castle, Clun, Knighton and Presteigne to Hereford. Then to Monmouth, the Forest of Dean, Lydney, Chepstow and back home over the Severn Bridge.
