A busy weekend – on the Friday, an overnight stay in Rye on the edge of Romney Marsh ahead of Zac’s kart race at the Lydd Circuit on the Saturday (a frustrating morning in the SP40, but a good result in the SP60 in the afternoon).
After race, it was a dash towards home, with Zac dropping me at Basingstoke enroute, to catch the train to Poole to meet Amanda at Sandbanks for the night. On the Sunday, we both enjoyed a nice birding cruise in Poole Harbour with fellow members of the Wiltshire Ornithological Society (WOS), plus other wildlife enthusiasts both young and old. We saw lots of bird of prey action including White Tailed Eagle, Osprey, Goshawk and Marsh Harrier.
