A new lens arrives – a Nikon 12-24mm wide angle.

8th – 10th September

A weekend trip on the motorcycle, this time to stay with a friend near Ludlow in Shropshire. Two routes – up via Bristol, the old Severn Bridge and then the Wye Valley, Monmouth, Hereford, Leominster and then Ludlow. Saturday spent visiting Church Stretton and the moorland of Long Mynd. Return journey via Worcester and the Cotswolds taking in Circencester and Stroud. The D200 came along for the ride!

3rd September

First trip on the motorcycle, with the Nikon D200 in tow. Rode to Sidmouth in Devon and then along the spectacular coastal road to Portland Bill, taking in towns and coastal villages of Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Bridport, West Bay and Abbotsbury.

1st September

A dream realized. Collected my long awaited BMW R1200 GS Adventure for motorcycle touring. Expect some motorcycle touring photojournalism in the future!

27th August

Ears seem better so what better than a camera tryout under Swanage Pier in Dorset. It was pretty murky but a few interesting images using the fish eye lens.

15th July

Collected second Subal D200 housing and a “Magic Filter” from Ocean Optics in London.

13th July

Collected second Nikon D200 and a 10.5mm fisheye lens.

8th – 9th July

A visit to the Goodwood Festival of Speed near Chichester.

24th June – 2nd July

A four day course in the south of France with world renowned underwater photographer Kurt Amsler concentrating on fisheye techniques. Remaining time spent at Les Lecques and visiting the towns of Bandol and Cassis.

17th June

 Collected our new Subal underwater housing for the D200 from Steve Warren at Ocean Optics in London. Earmarked a second identical housing so that we can both dive using the same equipment

12th – 24th June

Article writing based on Florida experiences.

10th – 11th June

A trip to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

7th June

Good news. Our much anticipated Subal housing for the D200 is now in stock at Ocean Optics in London. Hoping to collect it in mid June.

1st – 14th June

Selecting images from the Florida trip for the website and articles. Jeremy nursing a nasty ear infection picked up in the Dry Tortugas!

15th – 17th May

A visit to Ginnie Springs in north central Florida.

11th – 14th May

A liveaboard trip to dive the Dry Tortugas National Park leaving from Fort Myers Beach on the “Ultimate Getaway”.

8th 9th May

A quick visit to Key West and a seaplane trip to the incredible Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas National Park.

2nd – 7th May

Diving with the It’s a Dive team at Key Largo, mainly inside the John Pennekamp Marine Park.

26th April

A Dive in the “Living Seas” aquarium at Disney’s Epcot Centre. Unfortunately, no cameras allowed!

23rd – 25th April

A visit to Crystal River in Florida for Manatees and freshwater springs.

22nd April

Depart for Florida, bound for some diving adventures.

1st April

A trip to Swanage in Dorset. Another chance to use the new Nikon D200.

 A visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, based in Manama. Our trip included a visit to the unique desert motor racing circuit at Sakhir for the first race of the 2006 Formula One World Championship. It was a good chance to get familiar with our new Nikon D200.

A day trip to Bournemouth – a clear and cold winter’s day. Managed to shoot a few films – a selection of colour & B & W.

Article writing – a few commissions to work on, plus preliminary ideas for the subject of building a photographic website.

A weekend visit to Le Touquet in France. A chance for some continental photography.

A visit to the monthly British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSOUP) meeting at the Imperial College in London.

Pt II of “Building a Photography Website” submitted to the British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSOUP) for the “In Focus” magazine.

A visit to the annnual Visions In The Sea underwater photography and film event in London, hosted by Ocean Optics.

A visit to Antibes on the Cote D’Azur in the south of France, to the annual underwater photography and film festival.

15th October

A last minute decision to ride the R1200 Adventure to the Dive Show at NEC – gained some useful knowledge about Australia next year. The ride home was via Warwick and down through the Cotswolds taking in Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Stow, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cirencester and Tetbury.

14th October

A dive under Swanage Pier. The conditions were “total pea soup”, so very little to show from it photographically.

3rd – 10th October

Selecting images from Hawaii for the website and an upcoming magazine article.

3rd October

First of a series of articles about building photographic websites is published in the BSOUP “In Focus” magazine.

23rd september – 2nd October

A visit to the “Big Island” of Hawaii to dive the Kona Coast aboard the “Kona Aggressor” liveaboard with a group of underwater photographers led by Martin Edge. Also, we had time after the liveaboard for a night in Kona and a spectacular helicopter ride around the entire island, passing the erupting volcano of Kilauea.
