A bumper image of Sport Diver from Jeremy’s perspective – a cover shot, a feature on taking underwater selfies, additional images of the SS Yongala wreck and a preview of Roots Dive Camp feature.

9th July

Back in Cornwall to look for Blue Sharks with Atlantic Divers, run out of Newquay. We lucked into good weather and got the sharks. A really good day.

Zac starts his PADI Junior Advanced Open Water course with Dives at Vobster Quay on the Saturday and the National Diving & Activity Centre at Chepstow.

19th – 21st June

Based out of Penzance, we went out in search of Basking Sharks with locally based Shark expert Charles Hood. The “Baskers” hadn’t been seen in great number this year and we weren’t in luck on this occasion. We did, however, get a chance snorkel with a seal population just off Land’s End. On the “travel… Continue reading 19th – 21st June

12th – 14th June

A thoroughly enjoyable motorcycling trip around the coast of East Anglia. The trip started by a stopover in Guildford to get recall and an MOT on “the machine”. Once done, on the Friday afternoon, it was a ride from Guildford to Dunwich on the Suffolk Coast around the M25, under the Thames at Dartford and… Continue reading 12th – 14th June

2nd June

Though started some time ago, we revisited some previous work – a supplement and brochure centred around our dive travels in Eastern Australia between 2007 and 2010. The new proof looks good.

25th – 31st May

A really good few days in the Finnish capital Helsinki. Lucky to experience mostly fine weather with visits to UNESCO World Heritage site Suomenlinna, the old Olympic Park and the Contemporary Art Museum among several other. An excellent small city and a chance for some photography.

22nd – 24th May

A good weekend based out of Swanage in Dorset. On the Saturday, we attended one of the excellent Reptile Rambles at the RSPB’s Arne reserve (seeing Smooth Snake, Adder, Sand Lizard, Slow Worm and Common Lizard). On the Sunday, Jeremy and Zac enjoyed a couple of dives under Swanage Pier – not great visibility but… Continue reading 22nd – 24th May

16th – 17th May

A nice overnight stay in Oxford, with a archery, crossbow and air rifle shooting day on the Sunday (not my usual thing, but it had been bought for me)

11th May

An overnight stay in London, taking in a gig at the iconic Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club (this time the incredible Pat Martino).

8th – 10th May

An excellent motorcycling weekend Wales. The biking in earnest started in the Wye Valley, staying in Tintern on the Friday night. Saturday took in Monmouth, the back road to Abergavenny followed by the back road to Brecon in rain and showers. After that, the weather improved for the stint to Llandovery. After that, some brilliant… Continue reading 8th – 10th May

3rd May

Jeremy and Zac trek the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s sponsorship flagship the Sarsens Trail (the Neolithic marathon) from Avebury to Bulford near Stonehenge. It was a tough 26 mile walk in rain, sun and thunder and lightning. Jeremy later lost both big toe nails thanks to this!

28th March – 7th April

A visit to the excellent Roots Dive Camp, near El Quseir on the Red Sea Coast. As well as enjoyable diving at sites around El Queseir and Safaga, we also squeezed in a visit to Luxor. Plenty of photographic opportunities.

15th November

A stay in the West Country city of Bristol, to catch some music and a few sights around the city such as the SS Great Britain.

2nd – 9th August

A week in Florida, driving north from Miami to stopover in West Palm Beach for a night before a 6 night stay at Orlando’s Floridays Resort. We visited Seaworld where Jeremy and Zac did the unique Beluga Whale interaction. Also, we visited Universal Studios, the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral and the Aquatica Water… Continue reading 2nd – 9th August

26th July – 2nd August

An excellent week onboard the Turks & Caicos Aggressor visiting Grace Bay, North Point, West Caicos and French Cay. Jeremy & Amanda completed their Nitrox course during the week, after years of stubbornly resisting! Zac had a great week, taking his diving to a new level with his first shark dives and night dives.

3rd July

Sport Diver publish Jeremy’s “Barefoot Bliss & Laid Back Days” feature in the August edition of the magazine.

15th June

Jeremy takes Zac for his first UK dive in the sea under Swanage Pier (he qualified in Vobster Quarry). It was a good experience for him to experience near zero visibility!

8th June

A visit to the excellent Ham Wall RSPB reserve on the Somerset Levels. The highlights were “booming” bitterns and a grass snake.

3rd June

Sport Diver publish Jeremy’s “Lighthouse Reef Shines Brightly In Belize” feature in the July edition of the magazine.

26th – 27th April

A weekend visit to the Blue Planet Aquarium for a unique dive “in the tank” with a motley collection of sharks. On Sunday we visited nearby Chester Zoo.

5th – 18th April

Twelve days of diving, underwater photography and a general sense of wellbeing on the Maldivian island of Bandos. Somewhat unbelievably for us, it’s our third visit to the same place! During this visit, Zac got his first diving experiences following his Junior Open Water qualification and really enjoyed it. I was able to photograph him… Continue reading 5th – 18th April

7th – 8th March

A visit to Globe Cottage in Weymouth, with a trip to Swanage, Durlston and Arne on the Sunday. A nice sighting of a pair of adders on the heathland.

22nd February

A “photo day” at Durlston Country Park near Swanage (saw the first adders of the year emerging from hibernation) and nearby Studland.

19th January

A walk from Bournemouth to Sandbanks and back – a chance to “blow the cobwebs” and take a few “snapshots.”

12th January

Collecting some new motorcycling boots and gloves from Fowlers in Bristol. The roads beckon on the R1200GS Adventure this year!
