Butterfly Conservation use an image of Zac with an endangered Marsh Fritillary taken at Cotley Hill at Heytesbury, near Warminster in May.

5-6th July

A visit to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on the R1200 GS. We stayed at Oxford overnight and were treated to an excellent wet race won by Lewis Hamilton. We got a good soaking on the way home!

20th June

Although we’re not regular entrants to competitions, we were pleased that both of our images reached “semi finalist” status in the globally renowned Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007 Awards.


9th – 19th June

Jeremy has a  “last minute” trip to the Philippines, staying at the excellent Atlantis Hotel dive resorts in Puerto Galera (Mindoro) and Dumaguete (Negros). Expect these resorts to feature on the “must visit” lists of many a long haul dive traveller. Look out for the trip images later in the year.


15th June

Sport Diver Magazine publishes “Fly Dive” feature, about our experiences on boards the Spirit of Freedom liveaboard based out of Cairns in eastern Australia.


12th June

Received a kind invitation from Brendan ‘O’Brien to contribute a “your story” feature for his new diving, underwater photography and photojournalism website/blogspot. We’ll post another item in this section when the story has been produced and published.


23rd – 26th May

A visit to Jersey in the Channel Islands. The diving that we’d planned was unfortunately “blown out” due to the Bank Holiday weather and a pollution incident in Bouley Bay, so instead we visited Durrell Wildlife (Jersey Zoo), Gorey, Sorel Point, the German Hospital & War Tunnels and indulged in some circumnavigation of the island… Continue reading 23rd – 26th May



16th May

Jeremy & Amanda publish a PDF feature, based on experiences on the Kona Aggressor in Hawaii. It’s linked from the bottom of the Hawaii text page in the “Text” section.


8th – 12th May

A visit to Istanbul in Turkey, for the Turkish Formula One Grand Prix. We enjoyed the city and the Grand Prix, but it was surprisingly cold! Look out for some of the images later in the year.



5th April

First dives of the year at Portland, visiting the Dredger just outside Portland harbour and the Wreck of the Countess of Erne, within the harbour itself. The visibility was non existent, so photography was difficult to say the least, but a good chance to get back into it. Bloody cold, too!


30th March

A day out on the R1200 GS, ending up at Portland, and then to the western end of Chesil Beach near Abbotsbury. Should’ve been diving, really.








9th February

A ride on the R1200 GS to Weymouth and then along the coast to Bournemouth via Studland. Stopped en route to check out Kimmeridge Bay, a place that I hope to dive when the weather warms up.



25th – 27th January

A visit to London with our son Zac. A few opportunities for some “grab shots” as we took a “flight” on the London Eye and visited the London Aquarium and the Science Museum.

4th January

Our new “Shoot To Thrill Policy” brochure arrives from the printers. It contains a sample article and will be sent to magazine, newspaper and newspaper editors with a view of obtaining commissions.




17th December

A nice bit of news arrives in an email bulletin – Jeremy is now a featured photographer on the US based Dive Photo Guide website.


17th December

The finishing touches are added to a new brochure aimed at magazine editors showing a sample feature. It’ll be available in the New Year and focuses on our photojournalism work.


10th December

Another Sport Diver magazine cover! The January 2008 edition arrives featuring a split level image taken by Jeremy at Chesil Beach in October.








21st October

Good news is received from Jason Heller of Dive Photo Guide, the US based international underwater photography website, that one of Jeremy’s images has been selected for the top ten of the Best of 2007 competition. The chosen image may be featured in the US Sport Diver magazine in January.






9th October

Jeremy’s images chosen in “Editors Selection” of the Dive Photo Guide website’s “Best of 2007” collection and competition.



6th October

A last minute visit to Chesil Beach for a couple of dives – great conditions, not bad visibility. A few nice diver images to show for it. I rode down on the R1200 GS.


1st October

 Jeremy is now a featured photographer on the Subal website. Subal is the Austrian based manufacturer of our Nikon D200 Underwater Housings.

The October edition of Sport Diver magazine is published, featuring an article by Jeremy about our experiences diving the SS Yongala in Australia.





6th – 10th September

A visit to the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, near Milan. We stayed in nearby Como, and found time to visit Belaggio, further up the lake. Lots of controversy all along the pit lane!



2nd September

Pt IV of “Building a Photography Website” submitted to the British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSOUP) for the “In Focus” magazine.


30th August

News of Jeremy’s Sport Diver Competition Win reaches the “This is Wiltshire” website, affiliated to the Wiltshire Times.



13th August

Sport Diver magazine arrives announcing Jeremy’s Underwater Photographer of the Year Award 2007. The winning image graces the cover and there’s also a feature inside.



3rd – 5th August

A ride to Wales on the R1200 GS to visit a friend who lives at Church Stoke near Bishops Castle. Route up via the old Severn Crossing, the Wye Valley, Hereford, Leominster, Ludlow and Craven Arms. Third of a series of articles about building photographic websites is published in the BSOUP “In Focus” magazine.



27th June – 4th July

A visit to the Egyptian Red Sea, aboard the Sea Serpent liveaboard based out of Marsa Alam. Areas visited included St. Johns, Fury Shoals and Elphinstone. It was a great week for photos, with Amanda’s clownfish image winning the on-board photo competition. It features as our August “Image of the month”.



20th June

Article describing our diving experiences aboard the Kona Aggressor in Hawaii is published in Sport Diver magazine.






2nd – 5th April

Dubious weather and a tsunami warning didn’t stop the Spirit of Freedom dive live aboard from leaving Cairns. An excellent trip with improving weather, we visited the Ribbon Reefs and the “world famous” Cod Hole before flying back to Cairns from Lizard Island.




27th – 30th March

Three nights in remote Alva Beach and two days to dive the Wreck of the SS Yongala. We were lucky with the weather. Several trips had been cancelled during the week before our arrival.



25th March

The flight back to “Bundi” and a short (by Australian standards) drive to the fantastically named Town of 1770.
